On Tuesday 9th Of March most of our class’s parents came to school for the William Pike Challenge Launch at about. When we got there we got all the food ready and then we ate. We were still getting our spiders while everyone was eating.
After eating we all went into the whare hui and started listening to his story. He talked about to he climbed Mt Ruapehu with his friend and how he lost his leg. We were listening for about half an hour, I had already heard most of his story so I just listened to him again.
Once he was finished talking he had lots of books and t shirts that we could buy but I didn’t buy any because our class already had 2 or 3. I am looking forward to doing the challenges. We have already done surfing and we will be doing a lot more! I am looking forward to doing the abseiling and the raft building the most
Thank you for this report about William Pike. I was blown away by his determination and courage. I think it is superb that you and your class are taking up the challenges. I presume you mean spiders you drink unless you had a delicious menu for trapdoors and funnel webs.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your next blog post.
